Center for shopaholics in Jaipur

Jaipur is a marvellous fusion of old world charm & modern cosmopolitan touch. Jaipur is famous for its onliest forts, architecture, arts & also for shopping. I don't think that one can deny going back without shopping as Jaipur offers some of the best shopping options for the tourists in India. Shopping is something which is loved by all of us & if you have a look at the goods like shoes, attire, jewellery with Rajasthani ethnicity you will definitely want to bag everything for you. If you are a shopaholic and you are in Jaipur then you don't need to look anywhere and even you don't need to wonder about the shopping places. There are some famous markets that have some uniqueness like:
  • Johari Bazaar - This is the market where you can get some fabulous handmade jewellery & also jewellery with some precious stones & gems.
  • Bapu Bazaar - If you are looking for some clothes having Rajasthani touch then, this is the best place where you can get clothes with some royal Rajasthani prints.
  • Tripolia Bazaar - This is the amazing place for the bangles lover. You can have some bangles made of a material called Lac having some traditional designs and in many colours.
  • Nehru Bazaar - If you are looking for a Rajasthani' Juti ( Shoe) & Slippers than this is the place for it.

You can have a look at this beautiful handicraft diary. The poor people are making an effort for an ordinary diary too give a Rajasthani touch and I think they got success in their efforts. You can see the mirrors, flowers and pearls beautifully placed in the diary and I appreciate them for what they are doing. They are giving many ordinary things like pen, key chains a Rajasthani texture. They are selling them for very cheap rates and you can find this kind of stuff anywhere outside some famous places.

Now the above image you are looking are the wooden printing blocks used for printing different designs on bedsheets, dresses & clothes. I found these wooden blocks just outside the "Jantar Mantar" a street vendor was selling them at a cost of ₹50. If you want to look how these wooden blocks used in printing then you must visit RAJASTHAN TEXTILE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (RTD) near "Jal Mahal". They got some cool carpets and beautiful handicrafts. I know about this place because of my tuk-tuk driver told me it's a government shop but from the internet, I get to know it's a private vendor. At last, I would like to say that buy something from street vendors. As they are working hard and they don't even have a proper shop. They are working from morning to evening so that in the night they can have some food with their family.
